Took out my Supermag and hit the sand with a 4oz, strong shockleader and a 16ft penn affinity....10 casts b4 it got dark, all over 100yards...my biggest was 125 yards with my version of a pendulum...i know i should crawl b4 i walk..but i just wanted to check it out...and i got no serious birdies at all...a few minor, but most casts where birdy free...yahoo!! :D

whats the afinity like,,,action wise, is it crisp?? a laid back otg should put you well in excess of 100 with just a jentle lob, what lb line were you on,,,?

18lb... .35mm...penn is a nice rod, it has a soft enough tip, and with 4 pieces it has a nice action, very smooth and can fairly lash a bait...
