People:club comp,12 anglers
Duration:12.00pm to 17.00pm
Tide:high tide 17.00pm
Weather:clear sky with light easterly
Bait:lug,rag,peeler,mackeral
Rigs:2up 1 down
Results:myself 2 fish[flounder and rockling]winner 3 flounder
Catch and Release:: Yes always
Report:cracking day weather wise but the fishing was dire.the venue just left of the firing range definetly has potential to throw up a bass,maybe still a bit early :?:

Nice to see a report from Gormanstown Skip, please keep posting as you fish these beaches. What was sea conditions like.
HC, Gormanstown, is further North of Rush, just below Laytown beach on the map. This is a very shallow beach, so should fish a bit better in an easterly.
BTW, I once seen a Bass caught by hand on Rush beach. The fish had stranded it's self in one of the shallow pools of water when chasing prey fish. That was about 10 years ago though.
