Pollack and Coalies literally jumping out of the water, Catching plenty of them too, on freelined mackeral strip on a Slow retieve.
Also got 1 Codling.... WooWhoo!!!

Heading back there myself on Tuesday!!!
Got a load of bits the other day but am not sure if am baiting the hook right.
What tide would u say is more fruitful???

We fished end of the Ebb, to the Flood, in the Dark, I couldnt get over those flying Pollack!!!

samjar as a group a few of us fish together and share tips and tricks. You are welcome to come along. Iam learning loads from this lot would be worth it. There are 5 going out this fri night. If you interested go to the forum buddys and clubs and read northern ireland meet and join in.

Thx for the invite, but Friday doesnt suit me maybe next time you guys go out I can tag along.
Anyway fished at Portferry at the top of the town early tues morning on the ebb.
Not a single bite. Gale force wind didnt help matters much either lol.
Where would u guys recommend to fish in Portaferry?

Go through the town, down onto the Shore, Turn left. At the bottom of the town there's a wee Harbour/Pier type thingy with a pontoon down the left side. Fish up towards the boats.
