wicklow mark

People:my self / joe and mick

Duration:4 pm to 8.30 pm

Tide:rising

Weather:snow, hail , and lots of wind

Bait:mackeral, squid and lug

Rigs:2 hook clipped and one hook clipped

Results:great session great sport and fun,, 21 dogs,,3 spurdogs,,3 good dab usual whiting and small codling

Catch and Release:: Yes



Report:decided to hit another mark after all the fishing enneireily has put up with, got to the mark at 4 fished till half eight,, joe took the money on this trip with 7 dogs and 2 spurs ,,, i had 8 dogs 1 spur and 1 dab ,,, spurs well all from 91 cm to 95

:shock: Excellent fishing, well done, never heard of spurs being caught in wicklow either. 8) I really must branch out from my usual 5 mile spot(see report), seems theres great fishing on offer elsewhere!

yea it was a shock to pick em up this earlie to,, glad i went out even if the weather was crap


oh yea have to add in mic caught 4 dogs and 2 good dab

for anyone looking to try get some morris castle is supposed to fish well for em,, i wasnt there but cant give out were we were , but i know it fishes better than were we were

I too have lost bells to the Sea, May they forever be remembered.

Never seen spurs being caught from the shore before....is that a semi regular thing over there?
Sea Species(25) bass, codling, whiting, turbot, seatrout, stingray, pollock, coalfish, longspine scorpion, ballan wrasse, dogfish, ling, pouting, poor cod, dab, mackerel, smelt, sandeel, launce, bull huss, painted ray, thick lip mullet, golden grey mullet, rock goby.
Fresh Water (2) brown trout, sea trout
