Good fishing for bass to the right of the river in Laytown at times. Seatrout used to run up the river Delvin but I haven't fished there for many a year.

We always used lug but I would imagine that crab should also be good as it is an estuary. August and September good months there.

Skip get your hands on some good king rag if you can or bunch up some regular rag. Always a killer bait here. Fishes best from Sept with a good easterly blow believe it or not. Try to fish it as early as possible and on a rising tide. A high tide of 10 am would be perfect and seek out sand bars if there are any formed by the tide.
