Berkley Sand Eels - What Color?

#1 Post by garyk »

Gentleman,

I'll have the good fortune of visiting Killala in early June. I see that sand eels are very popular for bait. I thought I'd bring along some of these 5' Berkley eels can you recomend a color? Do folks fish soft-bait artificials there? Thank you for your thoughts!

they are not used too much - and are not considered too effective - but if your used to them and they work well for you - they could be the best thing to use here

i would imagine any sort of blue/white/green color would work. i would just fish a small lure for mackeral and use them as bait.
