Duration: 5 hours 12:00-17:00
Tide: low at 15:30ish
Weather:rain which cleared after a while
Bait:various
Rigs:various
Results: 3 flounder (for me, others can fill in their catch count )
Catch and Release:: Yes
Report: fished the Galway Bay S.A.C competition, also apart of the Connaught Gold Medal (i didnt fish that though)
rampant wreckfish came second and petekd came in third and followed by a narrow margin of 1cm me :? :? :?

Thoroughly enjoyed the weekend, I must say. Great auld night last night too it has to be said :wink:
Funny buzzing in Steves ear for about 2 hours about the 1 cm gap... Twas funny until JP hauled in a 32 cm flounder with 20 minutes to go and over took both of us....
Spare a thought for poor old Pete who, after I had secured bragging rights from both the night before and the days fishing had to tolerate a wall of abuse following his "professional bait digger" slur in IA the whole way back to cork... :lol: Karma....I love it.

Forgot to mention, I had 2 Turbot, one of 27cm and one of 23cm. Both fish took big bunches of maddies and small whites fished on long snooded 3 hook flappers to size 4 pint hooks fished just in front of where the waves began to break.
