multiplier

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

multiplier

#1 Post by col »

Got an as new penn535gs off ebay the other day. The following bits came with the reel but as a multiplier novice I've no idea what they are for!
I asked the guy that I got it from and he says he can't even be sure if they go with the reel but he sent them just incase.

Anybody care to shed some light on the situation for me? .........

Hi Col,

these bits come with most Penn multipliers.

The Black plastic bit and the bolts are intended to let you clamp the reel to the rod you are using - most commonly used when boat fishing but may also be useful for conger fishing - there will be two holes on the underside of the reel to locate the bolts into.

I have a SLOSH30 with similar fittings but I never use them.....

The 'multi-tool' will help you strip down the reel when required...

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that Jude, very helpful 8)
The seller was overall a pleasure to do business with.

Picked the reel up for basically only a few euro. I got a new greys triplex and the reel which is 2nd hand but in perfect nick for just 200euro! The actual auction was just the triplex but after a fair few messages he kindly threw in the reel for no extra cost! :D :D
