Warren Strand - Roscarberry

#1 Post by pete »

People:Me and 3 mates

Duration:3 hrs

Tide:Dropping hard

Weather:Light westerly and perfectly clear night

Bait:Razor and mackerel

Rigs:Various

Results:Coalies

Catch and Release:: Yes/No

Report: Beautiful night and short break in the never ending strong southerlies brought us out for a short session. Near perfect surf up but again the fishing proved....well crap to be truthful. We all caught but it was small coalies again, no sign of any flats or bass or anything else for that matter. Biggest would have made 32cm and mackerel proved better than the razor.

Still it was lovely to be out...amazing amount of stars out with the low levels of light pollution.

They're decent coalies, you wouldnt mind the shortage of bass if they were all like that!

Seemingly it a fish a cast...something bit bigger pulled the rod of the stand for one of em' but was gone by the time he hit it.

Yeah that tends to be a very well fished spot (called the Boat House locally) but can be hit and miss at this time of year and plagued by weed in the summer
