Was down to the north of the beach with Dennis alright Colin. As he said a couple of nice codling and I struggled along with a few nice whiting, and a couple of dogs. I'll tell ye that dbrock fella could pull a codling out of a garden pond, not a bad night for the middle of march.

Only I was up for work i would have stayed longer but the drive home is long enough. What time did Pat Spillane go at ? he is hard core with no buddy with him. I cannot leave home without one.

I packed it in around 2330 (reluctently) for the drive back to Naas. A good evenings fishing and nice to meet up with some of the guys again.

I had some nice dogs and a good mix of others but no codling worthy of note, biggest just under 30, a couple of decent whiting, biggest around 25-27. Best bait seemed to be lug topped with squid, all my dogs and most of the bigger fish were caught on this even though I had mackerel on the second hook.

Colin keep up the practice on the casting you had it going well for a while.

Yeah roger, thats where i told the old man i'd try with him. Fingers cross the rain holds off up river. You'll prob see my car at the other one if there's no joy.
I think theres a decent south westerly blowing. :?
Maybe i'm reading this site wrong( http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?sc=47766 ) but there looks to be decent waves at Brittas so should be similar for us. :P

Jaysus Denis, Alby, whats the magic bait??
