It is indeed horriffic. This is a small part of a 1.5hr long film showing the cruelty imposed on many other creatures including skinning foxes and seals alive, killing of pigs, cows, fish and a whole range of disturbing scenes.

We close our eyes and ears to cruelty sometimes, but we all have a responsibility. If you are going to kill something, make it a quick death. There is no need to prolong agony and suffering. I've seen a lot of people leave the fish they have caught to die slowly instead of knocking them on the head.

If you want to know more about the food we eat and the cruelty imposed in some countries, you can see the whole thing at http://video.google.com/googleplayer.sw ... 8967&hl=en

Be warned, it is hard to watch. It is controversial!

Having seen these creatures in the wild,I think this is disgusting, bloody typical though, I had a few bad experiences with them on the charter boats in NZ, nothing would surprise me.

Hi all

Very emotive

Whilst i can appreciate cultural differences i can't accept this.
This is the shocking & sickening slaughter of a truly amazing and beautiful creature.

I'm deeply angered & saddened.

I'd hate to be standing in front of my maker at the end of it all having done such attrocious acts of cruelty to one of the most intelligent and beautiful creatures on the planet

BTW did ye also notice the packs of what looked like processed whale meat on sale?? Cant imagine they were treated any better

Even though it is a different culture and different rules, homo sapian has shown that they can and will continue to pick on and destroy any senient mammal for profit.

no animal, sentient or not deserves to die like that - it should be quick and as humane (allegedly) as possible
