If it was a boat rod you might have some chance in doing it, but for a beach caster the pressures of casting are too great, and you can never repair it. use it as an excuse to get a shiny new rod... lol.
Ps i have done this to 2 Zziplex rods, one casting and one with the car boot so I know how you feel.

buy one the exact same, return to shop 2 days later with reciet,say look what happened,get refund, you now have it "fixed" twice :lol: :roll: :roll:
