Results:me- 2 Bass 1.5,2.5 lb + 1 Flounder, 1 Pollock, 1 Launce
Catch and Release:: Always said id let my first bass go, i did...but i kept the second for dinner 2moro

Report:Was a grand lookin day for it as i arrived, seen bout 6 other anglers...didnt know who they were..was very sunny and i spotted a big storm cloud closin in over the sun, i whipped in the rods and put on some fresh lug, no sooner did the cloud cover the sun...BANG!!! i landed 1.5lb bass on the bze..nice lil scrap!! Storm have a sayin "Think like a fish no matter how weird it gets" heres mine,"Think like cortaz no matter how many fish youve caught"...Pulled in the second rod and got a small pollock nd a sandeel on a size 2/0?!? introduced myself to the lads 2 the right, turned out to be lampoon from the site, nice meetin u all!...cortaz arrived and whisked us to a hotspot  , but conditons were crap!! cortaz broke the ice 2 hours in with a flounder, then i got a flounder a while after..it glooked grim and lampoon and he boys headed...cortaz and i stayed on, and cortaz said " they wont have left the carpark and well have got a bass" ...myself and art were chattin away, he bounced up and grabbed my rod and gave a tug, he handed it to me and said reel!! never spotted that bite, got a nice 2.5lb bass :D truly he the man, and ive learned alot from even talkin to him, he knows his bass and his stuff!!!

HI all,

Sorry I missed you Art but I headed to CLonea East around 3pm with a mate who is not long fishing. We set up just down from Shanleys as we found no one at the Castle end. One guy was fishing on the very right hand side of Clonea East but we did n't bother to go that far as we wanted to get fishing. Well 1.5hrs later not a bite despite a very good surf see attached. No weed either but once we noticed the seals we hoped back in the car to the Castle car park, ie the East side of the beach. Two guys were fishing one who had just set up and another who was fishing since 12 and had only one Bass (41cm) which was caught and released much earlier. Anyway on my mates first cast he a plump flounder which was released. We left at 6pm as we were out of bait, when another guy was setting up. Never seen so many fish Clonea in years, a nice site despite the poor fishing. Well I blanked again but don't fell so bad having read the Master did not get a Bass.

Good luck.

Hope you can see them its not the first time I have. They must have known I was coming. No doubt the Bass moved well away.

Guy next to me (John I think) caught a couple of decent sized coalies but gave up around 8pm.

Nothing else for the rest of the night - packed up and went home to watch LOST :)
