Tip light,, or star light.....
Right lads was just wondering what yee think are the best. Iv used the big chunky tip lights alot but found the odd time that they can get caught up on the cast....birds nest ahhh!! started to use star lights whipping them to the rod with bait elastic not as bright but i find them better!

Reflective Tape and Rod Bells..... For the Lazy People among us...
Seriously though, I find Bells great cos I have the Attention Span of a Goldfish... and not even a decent Goldfish, One of the ones you'd win at the Fair and take home, only for your mum to tell you to go "Release" it...

two rods = BELLS unless you have crossed eyes bells will stop you missing bites while baiting up a second rod , have had two occasions when a big bass has hammered a rod while i was not looking due to tending a second rod shame to miss a good fish for the sake of 1.50 stay away from the double ones as they twist around and can cause tangles :D

ive never witnessed these so called bells being used before are they any good ? reflective tape has always done the job for me with a good headlamp. attaching things to your rod tips can result in snap off's and line wraps.

Used the bulky tip lights for years and never had a problem with a crack off or a snap off. I always positioned mine just above the last ring prior to the tip ring. However I am now a firm devotee of the tip tape, reason being I have a super headlamp that uses bugger all battery so I can leave it on all the time and I got fed up with tip light batteries failing and rusting in hte box etc. I really must try the bells though as when fishing 2 rods and double patting you definitely spend far too much time with your head in the tackle box.
Fluff chucking is the new black..... Rampant Wreckfish is a fly angler in denial

I would'nt use anything else alan you can make your own from a clothes peg curtain eye hook and a bell from a cats colar will do... or you can buy them for about £2.
The only down side is if you get three or four using them and someone like costa brings his spare set it can become annoying isn't that right pookie

Only problem is making sure costa not about as he has a nasty game of ringing them close to my rod sending me running for a record nothing.
total b*** bag lol
