Bought a cheap Shakespeare tripod for about £25 it fell apart on 2nd outing went back to tackle shop and looked at another one and it was the same the main leg falls out of its holder very badly manufactured avoid buying one of these have bought the 9402 instead...

To Avoid all problems with lesser Tripods I'd just go straight to the Ian Golds Range, You get the Quality, and it cuts out the crap.

i agree the ian golds tripods are the shizz nitt !! of all tripods

I decicded to invest in a ian golds rod rest the other day(6ft super match) after hearing so much about them on the site and i must say its a great sturdy rod stand and i wouldnt fault it!
