People:myself and nige
Duration:6hrs
Tide: started fishing after low
Weather: wet then dry, then wet again..
Bait:mackerel and squid
Rigs:various
Results:9 thornback ray, 9 dogfish, 1 coalfish and 2 starfish
Catch and Release:: Yes
Report: we decided to fish a mark that i say on google earth last night...
fishing started off slow with me catching 2 starfish on the same rig, then i caught a dogfish.. saved me from a blank.. soon after nige caught a thornback ray 42cm... i was calling him every name under the sun for half an hour.. then i caught a thornback.. approx 50cm and a coalfish on same rig :D then more doggies and ray followed...
great nights fishing i must say.. tested out my uptider and slosh 30.. casted 5oz 80yrds (thats me happy) lifted ray with ease too :D
nige tested out his new floatation suite against the elements... and no he didnt go for a swim.. even though i was tempted to push him in the water after he caught the first ray..
new species to the list :lol: :lol: (anyone know the latin for starfish :lol: :lol: )
