maybe someone else will sponser it altogether ,its a very good idea and a lot of good anglers take part in it and go to a lot of bother to do so .one of the best things to come about for the match anglers .i dont think there is enough sponsership put back into angling from the big firms at all.so if any of the bigger firms are reading this get behind the anglers who keep your buisness going !!!!cheers john

Mark,
I have just spoke to David Caulfield who runs Penn (Europe) and he said to say this is from the horses mouth.
The Penn League will remain as it is...the points structure and prize structure will be the same as it has been.
The products, such as the 525Mags will remain the same and be developed further.
He did add to this by saying ....due to the success of the 525Mag, in his opinion with the kind of money K2 have put behind Penn, this will bring the 515Mag onto the market sooner, not later and look out for some new products in the future.
When I called I expected David to be down about the takeover...I got a pleasant surprise to hear he is delighted about it and making plans for more things not less.
This can only be good news IMHO.
Tom.

It was me who mentioned the 515Mag....his first reply was that he felt it would come on the market faster now because of the takeover.
I can tell you the guy is a happy as anything....I started off with my commiserations....his reply was "Whoaaaa!!! just a minute, who told you that" it didn't take him long to suss out who had told me
I mentioned the concerns some feel about the Penn products and he started to reel off chapter and verse how he truly feels about the situation, don't forget his late father Alan has been instrumental in selling Penn products around Europe for donkeys years and was a personal friend of the Penn founder, so he (David) has been brought up on Penn all his life, and his brother Gary too.
There it is 8)
