Hi all!
Got time galore and am looking for new spots in Mayo and Sligo.
Anyone going out and looking for company??? I'm just a recreational angler but I'm getting bored looking at the stars on my own ( how romantic - ah yeah it's valentines! )
So if anyone is looking for company one of these days drop me a line!
Patrick...
Counties Mayo or Sligo anyone?

Sligo or Mayo
Hi
Not sure we'd have enough here for a meet! unless ome of the lads from the north and elsewhere decided to come down for a weekend... I think a big issue would be where to fish at the moment, its pretty thin by all accounts, although there should be good pollack fishing coming on stream very shortlyand the wrasse will begin to drift back from deep water... would suggest somewhere like Mullaghmore for a beach?

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...
2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks

I turned up for the Donegal Bay Angling club meet at Murvagh (11th Feb) - my first. Nice crowd, even when wet. Next Sun (25th) is Trabane. I am in Fermanagh and fish the Ballyshannon area - informal meets are a good idea - makes things more sociable but I tend to be disorganised and fish to tide and weather rather than by date.
Ideas?

The tide is certainly my decision maker ;)
Most often I check the tide coming back from town and if it's coning in and isn't in too far I'll go to one of my local piers. However, if any one goes out in Killala/Donegal Bay and I have the time I might just join in!
Anyone know a boat that's out already in this area?
