Left-handed multipliers?
I'm right-handed but have fished using the reel with my left hand all my life. I think this is normal for fixed spool. I was chatting to someone about buying a multiplier and was told that it's hard to find left-handed multipliers as there's no demand for them. Is this correct? I don't fancy changing the way I fish.... it just wouldn't be natural!

Left Handed Multipliers are easy Enough to Come by, its Proper Beachcasting Multi's that don't seem to Crop up in Left Hand Versions too Often, Usually when looking for a left hand version of a Reel, Say an Abu 6500, The Left Hand Version will probably be coded as an Abu 6501.
Same With Penn GTI Reels, 320 = Right Hand. 321 = Left.

Harry 99 out of 100 anglers use a right handed multiplier and a left handed fixed spool reel....it comes to you naturally...go for a right hander, you will get used to it in no time.
I bought a left handed multiplier once for spinning....couldn't get away with it...used it once and got shot

I needed a Penn Special Senator Left Hand boat reel recently and the chap in Trap and Tackle (Bangor Co Down)obtained one for me within a week. The LH models cost a bit extra but with his discount it still cost less than by "Mail Order" Regards, Happy Customer :)

does anyone know where i could get hold of a left handed lever drag reel, something along the lines of a tld would be ideal, i have been looking for about 2 years now and the only ones i have found are about 500euros, why is it that righted handed ones can be got for about 180 but its treble the price for leftys.

Was it just me, or did every second multiplier at the Dublin angling show seem to be left-handed :?
