Carrick harbour 13/02/07

People:myself, round_ourway and alannelson

Duration: 7pm til 10pm

Tide:falling

Weather:rain, rain and yes more rain with a bit of wind

Bait:rag, lug and mac

Rigs: flappers, conger rigs and 2 hook loop rigs

Results:2 cod, 1 pouting and a goby

Catch and Release:: Yes



Report:
fished towards the breakwater to start with but not even a bite moved down to the conger corner and started to lob a flapper rig in front of the rock along the peir with the first cast producing a pouting of around 27cm all went quite so i started to blast baits over the wall into the kelp beds with a even a touch all nite after setting up the apollo and putting a bait out the bass rod started bouncin with a nice codling of 32cm next cast produced a second cod of 30cm....alan was fishin conger with not even a run but he did catch a small goby on his extremely light rod....round_ourway fished the breakwater most of the nite with no luck...all fish fell to straight rag

It was windy initially but died down around 8 and turned out to be a nice night.
Wasn't much fish about but was good to try a couple of new rigs. The Zippy was sending those a weights a fair bit to.
Good luck in the comp if im not chatting to ya before that jonny.

It was good ta get out gilly and to meet round ourway im stupid for not having a camera last 2 outings rrrrrrrr never again we will have ta get out again sometime soon :lol:
