Easter Weekend suits me. Wont be camping, not with all the luxurious comforts available in the Hyundai Hotel though :D

If it's still in one piece. That 4x4 is doomed.

Is it possible to book a room Pete? Would prefer non-smoking and ensuite but I'll take whatever's available........ :D
Its called fishing, not catching. If it was called catching it wouldn't be fishing!

You said it.... Roll on July till I change it for an L200. Still, it beats a Tent hands down. It is Non Smoking, as for En Suite, there's an empty wide mouthed lucozade bottle in the footwell if that counts :D

There are so many undesirable outcomes from that ...

Killary..Like Black Head or not

#32 Post by antbear »

I would like to fish Killary , I never fished there before. Anytime in April except the Easter week-end would suit me. I also new to this forum so just feeling my way around.
What about baits, anybody recommend a selection for Killary?
Its deep water right? Same as fishing Black head or not?

What about baits,
fish baits... mackerel, sandeel and squid work well for doggies and ray
lug will produce flattes.. dab, flounder and turbot

sure is deep.. but nothing like blackhead, not as much a flow of water going through during the tide..

I'll try to get to this as well, mind you I haven't been able to go sea fishing in Galway for almost six months for one reason or other so here's hoping !

main baits for killary are sandeel, mackerel and squid (fish baits). lug, rag, razorfish and crab might pull out a few surprises..

anyone else interested.. the way numbers are going we might have a few fishing the beach as well

reckon first come first serve would be the best way seeing as it's not a comp..

it can be worked out nearer the time depending on numbers available...
