Hi lads
What are the best snood lenghts for a 3 hook flapper

I would usually go for about 18 inches but it depends on tide species ect alot of people this time of year use booms for scratching also depends how long you make your trace length :lol:

any where between 12" and 24 " depending on state of tide and what species you are after ,whiting can make a hell of a mess of long snoods as they spin while being retrieved.so if its mainly whiting you are getting keep them very short.cheers john

always depends on conditions and target species, i have seen snoods up to 6 feet long being used sometimes!!

my snoods are usual between 2ft and 3ft long and rig body of about 10ft to 15ft
