People: Only me

Duration: 2 hours (had to get back for the 6Ns)

Tide: from low up

Weather: Beautiful, t shirts

Bait: Lug

Rigs: One up, one down with 4/0 pulley on top and size 2 below

Results: 1 bass 2lbs, 2 flounder 1lbsish each, 4 cod -2lbs, 2lbs, 4lbs and 6lbs

Catch and Release:: Kept the 4lber to feed the masses



Report: Unbelievable, possibly one of my best days just because of the unexpected nature of it. I'd heard rumors that this spot was producing but thought it was all guff. How wrong I was. The place isn't that deep, its clean sand, no bait beds there so I don't know whats going on but thats some fishing!!! :D
Best bit about it, its 300 yards from my front door. After half an hour I cast in and nipped back to the gaff to grab a cuppa!!
You only need to cast 20 yards as well so I may have a new favorite spot.
I don't want to give it away cos netting is pretty common down there but if anyones heading to Courtmac, drop me a line and I'll fill you in.

Well Done, thats excellent fishing. Only 300yds from your front door !!! You lucky B******S. I'm not a bit envious.

Was it During Daylight you caught them aswell. Just think what it would be like during darkness. I might be down that way soon myself.

Fished Courtmac tonight with Pete McG. Had maybe 3 or 4 coalies between us that is all.... :?
Fluff chucking is the new black..... Rampant Wreckfish is a fly angler in denial :D

fishing seems very temprimental down this way at the moment.
shore species 2008(25):dogfish(3.1lbs), bull huss (12lb 2oz), bass, shore rockling, coalie, whiting, pollack, conger (22.4lbs),flounder, thick lipped mullet (4.8lbs),turbot,ling (11.2lbs),ballan wrasse(4.5lbs), cuckoo wrasse, pouting, poor cod, cod (9.5lbs), dab, 3 bearded rockling, long spined scorpion fish, corkwing wrasse, plaice, trigger fish, sea trout, garfish

Sorry to hear that Pete.
Estuary can e a bit hit an miss. This was pretty much the first time I had fished this particular spot so I don't know if it is a consistent producer.
Your haul would be pretty much what I would have expected from a session at this time of year until last week!
