I have been using them for a while now and they seem to work for the Winter fish,Mackerel love them aswell when they're around.Anyway I take the shells off and put about 3 or 4 on a pennel rig and wrap it with bait elastic.I usually buy a bag of frozen prawns from the Asian market,it's always handy to take out a handfull if other baits are not working, theres a bit of a smell from the prawns which seems to attract certain fish.
