People: Just me

Duration: 2 Hours

Tide: Rising

Weather: Mild and calm

Bait: Rag and mack

Rigs: Running ledger and free line

Results: 1 Shore Rockling, 3 * 3 Bearded Rockling and 1 I don't Know what!!!!

Catch and Release:: Yes/No yes

Report: Decided to hit the pier this morning before dawn as the tide was rising. Sea was like a mill pond and not much was happining out from the pier so I decided to chase rockling. Its great sport when things are quiet. All four took the rag but as usual they took some coaching to get them out from between the rocks. I'd left a rod out in the middle and it got a few tentitive knocks. When i brought it in I had the little beasty in the third picture. Has anyone any idea what this 4" wonder is, I think it might be a baby Monk Fish? :? I might head down again this evening as I have some rag left over. If I do, I'll post a report
