I was going split between conoflex and anyfish anywhere and went for the anyfish anywhere 13 foot beach on price. I asked John Holden and he said they were of the same quality. Saying that the 13 foot beach wouldn't be an out and out rough ground rod by any means but if you want a castable rod I'd just go for a standard 6-8 oz rod like it. For conoflex on the mail order I found on pricing spoty dog tackle best. They quoted a nemisis plus 14 foot at 240 sterling but the P&P was 36 pounds to the south but only 15 to the north. Or for an irish dealer Jim Obrien in waterford and you'd get them with irsh colours.

just recently bought an AA rock rod....aint been out with it yet, but it seems user friendly.
have a conoflex highlander and its took everything ive threw at it plus everything that ive threw it at!!!
depends on your budget chris....
greys apollo, nitra,platinum....i also have a supro and its more for mixed ground but i used it in the rough and landed double figure eels on it ok.
conoflex are built in rough ground country so their knowledge would be second to none on these rods....that goes for greys designers too...
zzipplex have quite a few rods to double up as rough ground rods though primarily casting rods as do daiwa...but these can be expensive compared to others...i went for the Anyfish Anywhere based on price and build plus action. plus all the info on what it is designed specifically for which a lot of rod manufacturers dont specify sometimes.

Billy the bass
powertex bass
I have a Zzippy powertex bass for the last ten yrs and although they are a bit old in design (now have Diwa supercast bass) its still a fine bit of kit. A bit softer than the Diwwa.
