Results:3 bass.3.5, 3, 1.5lb. 1 flounder .75lb
nice surf about 3 ft. clear water. start of the spring tides.
first 3 casts to edge of the ruff patch resulted in 3 bass.
then the reel went, a penn G.E.N.-X it had lasted about 12 sessions.
fished on till h.w. with the " in close" rod only had 1 bite = flounder
hope to fish for the next 4/5 days and expect to catch bass each day.
Catch and Release:: Yes/No 1 for the pot

Well done....wudnt mind a day like that,, how far were u casting out 4 the bass and also what side of the beach were u at!? Were should i go from the hotel..

to the left of the car park is o.k. cast 40/60 meter.
i,ve been fishin 1 mile to the left, round the mini headland you can see from the c.p.
theres a track down to the beach its on the coast road about 1/2 mile before the left turn for ballyvoile.
i tryed a "fish calculator" to get the weights.
the 1 kept was 19x11 it weighed 3.2oz.
going by the "fish calculater" 19x11=3.4oz. pretty close
scale readings =6/7 years old
