Dublin Cod!!

Lads im from Dublin but cant catch any codling. Are there any on the north side?? Im trying plenty of beaches in the north county and only getting small whiting and flats. Do I have to travel south for a decent fishing session!!

try coliemore harbour in dalkey you will need plenty of weights and big baits also heavy leads 7 ounce grippers to hold the bottom. if your not into losing gear try bug rock cast out straith towards the end of the east pier in Dun Laoghaire. :wink:

hows it going KK , Shankill is throwing up some nice codling , in the last few weeks a few friends have had them there up to 5 and 6 pound , its fairly comfortable fishing aswell , just use mostly lug and mussel

Party boy are you fishin at Carbawn Lane ive been thinking of getting down to shankill meself to fish. tried up at the river a few weeks ago but didnt get a thing, but i have heard that the other end is fishin well.

Think its called Shaws lane not too sure , straight down from the shopping centre just park near the bungalows at the end of the road and down the pathway

hi lads just wondering where abouts you are talking about in shankill, i live right on shankill beach and know it like the back of my hand , but have never seen a cod as big as that coming from there !!!
