Sea trout

Lads have fished a few beaches lately and am told of sea trout being plentyfull. but what tactics do ya use for targeting sea trout from a beach?? what rigs and bait work best?? any help would be great!!

I would use a flier baited with sandeel or a strip of mackerel ,just put two beads on your shock leader and clip the flier between them before you cast .this will mean the flier fishes above the main trace moving around alot more in the surf . you'll also get turbot on this rig .

Ive never even heard of a flyer. anyone got any diagrams??

its basically 6-7 inches of mono tied to a hook with a snap swivel tied to the other end ,you put two beads on your shock leader before you tie/clip your main trace on then just clip the flier between the beads .
the beads stop the thing going back up the main line .

Have you to put a stop not or a crimp to stop the beeds moving up the main line and in turn your snood line would go with it??

your bead will only go as far as your shock leader knot so the flier cant pass here ,the idea is to let the flier move the length of your shockleader , in turn covering more ground and giving alot more movement to your bait .
