fish measuring thingy?!!

#1 Post by rab01 »

sorry about the subject header but i wasn't sure what they are called. i've noticed alot of people use them on this forum as i've seen them in their report photos to measure the size of their catch. are these available from all tackle shops and what price roughly are they likely to be? :)

Just to save you the embarassment of asking for a "fish measuring thingy" in the shop (:D) it's a "Match Measure", with the Ian Glds ones seemingly the most popular.

Ian Golds ones seem to be the most robust. Smashed a couple of others when standing on them or squeezing into box.

you catch one item of clothing and they never let you forget it. It was a difficult fishing trip to explain to the wife

Bought one recently from Harry's in Bangor (Sakuma 45cm), around about £4.50, i'm sure Trap and Tackle also do them.
