Help I have been catching a lot more crabs than fish

#1 Post by BadAssFreddy »

I am using makerel as bait and fish around wicklow but all I catch is crabs, can anyone please point me in the right direction as I have never fished during the winter before i.e. a summer feathers man

Hi.

Have you tried using any baits other than Mackeral? My advice would be to use either worm baits or mussel tipped off with a tiny piece of Mackeral. Also try using squid sections, as this is tougher than frozen mackeral.

Good Luck
