Duration:cl.1/2, bq. 3/5 p.m.

Tide:l.w. @1pm

Weathersunny/heavy showers, west wind

Bait:lug

Rigs:2 up

Results:6L.b.+ bass,coalfish, 1 flounder
had not planed to fish today, but with the fine weather in the a.m decided to try clonea at l.w.
2 poachers/netters opperating there 1 less than 50m from shore the other 1/4 mile off.
packed up and went to ballyquin, 2st. cast got a bass over 6lb. 8) fished on till dusk had a few coalies 1 about 2lb, got a flounder of 1lb. on the last retreve.
would have stayed longer if i had more bait.

Catch and Release:: Yes/No kept the bass/coalie

Was in Clonea just before you Art (passed u on the road)

Was well drunk off with the nets in the water - didnt see them until I had been there with almost 2 hrs :evil: :x :x :x

Had my first blank of the year due to them

Hi Art,

I think that we seen to start offically reporting these nets to the SRFB. Perhaps even a few people reporting the same net will help raise the urgency. If we then compile a list off reports and mail them into various ministers and TD's and ask what's being done about this rampant illegal activity.

I was on the beach with cortaz and saw this going on but as I was tied up with a coast guard search at the time did not have time to report it.
In my defense it is the first time I did not report such an incident.
I would strongly urge anybody to report such incidents to the SRFB and they are mush more lightly to respond if you say that the nets are in a well known spot for BASS or SEA TROUT.
