Killiney beach (21-1-2007)

#1 Post by Al »

People:Myself &M.b.3

Duration:1:30-6:30

Tide:ebbing

Weather:suprisingly nice!

Bait:Mussel and Manky old lug, mack,razorfish and sandeel(Marks nasty contribution) :)

Rigs: 2 and 3 hook flappers

Results:Flounder, Coalies and whiting

Catch and Release:: Yes/No

Report:
Bit slow for the hour or so with only one Flounder caught *cough* by me :) started to pick up when it was getting dark with a few Coalies, Mark had the best size coalies over 35cm! As the tide went fully out we were both catching fish a cast more or less!One or two missed bites but kept pretty much going! Whiting came on the feed about half an hour before we left and took over with double and treble hook ups! Some tiny and some decent sizes too about 10-12 inches!All in all a good days fishing in the end after a slow start!
