I think you shouldnt do a report if your not gona even give the county!!
The sites all about sharing location rigs with fellow anglers, as im sure you read all the other reports from all the other locations that other people share with you! And for the ones they dont wana share they dont post a report

Hi Okuma, whilst you may not wish to give away the exact location, some more info would have been nice. As it stands your post is utterly pointless, some details re bait, rigs and at the very least the county and type of venue would have been nice. Without any of that info your post does appear somewhat irrelevant. Not having a go, but just throw the lads a bone here will you

jesus christ whats to say he didint catch 25 cod i remember one year a massive shoal came onto killiney beach "south Dublin" and every cast you would get one, youd be doing well to catch a small codling from that beach now.

and as regards to letting the location out i might do the same rather then tell everyone and have the area crammed with anglers the following nite, theres nothing worse then fishing a crammed beach and lines crossing all over the gaff you just dont enjoy it.

and anyway i doubt we will ever get the location now because of those negative posts, well done lads

ye i know it took me around two or three years to find an absolutely great spot on the east coast for bass and smoothies but i dont think i will be letting the location go either only a few of us know about it but only a few people can fish the spot at any one time and when conditions are right.

I can see were Okuma is coming from regarding not giving the location.
If it was given out there would be guys from all parts of the country going, people that would never fished there before.

Same thing happened to a good spot i used to fish alot, we could guarantee going there any night and only people there would be a small group of mates unless a local club comp. One got excited bout getting his biggest shore fish, let out the mark and next thing ya know word of mouth through tackle shops etc people are travelling over 100miles to fish it  Think I've only fished it about 4times in the last 6yrs now.

Though granted, use the report template put in details and leave location blank if he (Okuma) wants, some info is better than none.

The minute I read this post I doubted its validity. No pics or nothing...?
I have no problem with keeping the location to yourself, I do that myself but at least try to provide some beneficial information to the group so that others can benefit from your session. Rigs, bait, distance etc...

What harm would that be..?

its not impossible mate all you need is for one shoal to come in and be a bit lucky that your there when they do. some of the details are in the post state of tide weather etc,,, just note in the format you are used to.

I have been thinking about this myself. I dont think there is much truth in the matter. Okuma I think it is a pure ''look at me wind up people'' post

None, Lads, in future at least for the love of god write something a little more than "I caught 15 fish". Try and give some form of information, I understand not disclosing exact locations but the County and some rig and bait details would have been nice. As it stands this post serves no purpose other than fuelling a bit of disagreeing.... Im locking it down for that reason only, noone has stepped across any lines and it shouldnt be taken as a personal affront by anyone, as I said, as it stands it serves no purpose and its getting locked so it doesnt develop.
