What kind of rockling is this?

Ling at Waterfoot? Was it on a boat about two mile offshore?

I'd love to catch a Ling too, preferably shore caught but i suppose they're very rare here, maybe a chance around Ballintoy???

i've had small ling from pickie pier up to about 3lb

I had one off the north pier and one from Douglas Pier,Isle of Mann both over 2lb.There`s a chance of one at Ramore Hd,one caught last year.Think it was about 7lb

yeah, ive had them off ramore and lansdowne before and seen them caught by others at teelin

immature pollack i think . the mouth is wrong shape for a poor cod .

its definately a small pollack, i had loads of them that colour before from portrush marks of similar size

It`s a small pollack.Check the species hunt competition post in the clubs,comps and meets forum there`s some good photos of poorcod in it,you`ll see the difference
