casting line

looking for a descent line for beach casting as line i am using isn't that great, any suggestions?

have heard of synergy being quite good off reliable sources. just have not tried it...

Suffix Synergy, 14lb at 0.30mm 19lb at 0.35mm, its very strong for the diameter. Prefer it on the FS as I have found .30 a bit of a handful on a multi for fishing with.

i think its .31mm in 14lb in the sakuma im using on the 7ht at the minute, seems great for fishing with, and casting.

used to fish with suffix tritanium but recently changed to daiwa tournament, seems a much nicer line to cast plus the fact that i got 15 rolls of 20lb probably helped :lol:

, still use 35lb tritanium for rough ground tho.

the sakuma line is very near the same as the diawa tournament ,but the sakuma would be a little less resistent to damage.but for the money it is very good line and also very good for casting.cheers john

For the multiplier i use diawa sensor mono 15lb its a very smooth line comes off the spool with no fuss whatsoever i have tried a lot of other lines some pretty expensive but this one seems to work the best for me over clean ground

diawa sensor is good line ,i use it for rough ground fishing as it is slightley thicker and more abrasion resistent,and because of the price of it you can change the line regularly and it works out cheap enough.from memory i can get three or four reel fills from a 4 oz spool,depending or breaking strain i am using cheers john

I use daiwa tournament for the fixed spools and ultima gold for multipliers, the best set up i found yet imo.

I spooled up with Ultima Black Ice (15lb) the other day, and am very impressed so far. i haven't used it enough though to decide how good it's abrasion resisting qualities are yet.

I used the tritanium stuff once and dumped it, i'm the only person i know how didn't like it, so maybe i just got a spool off a bad batch. i found the knot strength very poor.

I use Daiwa sensor and tournament never had any problems with it ,seen a guy use an ultima line recently that frayed very quickly it was a combination of bad casting and heavy ground but i was still surprised at how bad it got (line snapped on the 3rd cast sending a trace flying with leader and about 4-5 feet of line :shock: )

as far as i could tell it was one of there standard lines(also the guy was using what i can only call a snap cast :shock: :shock: ), saying that i'm sure there are people who would say that they wouldn't like Daiwa line it really is personal choice of what works for you :)
