i qualified to fish the interprovincial and the master angler fish off. i chose to fish the fish off. i thought it was a bit of a joke that two IFSA comps like these were allowed to clash.

Ill be there coaching the leinster junior team, tom mac cant make it he is fishing the master angler fish off's. Is there much fish up there at the moment, what beaches are being fished. Where are the blow out options.

ah paul, no tom!? so will you have to take his place in the pre/post match drinking??! :roll: i look forward to it! :wink:
ulster open gold is on benone this weekend, so will have a better idea on catches after that
to be honest have heard no reports on portstewart
just back from east strand there now - plenty of fish on it, mostly small ,mix of species, taking all manner of baits, no particular one stood out.

as for back up venues i dont think there are any.

I see the fishing was very good last weekend are you expecting it to be good this weekend, what were the conditions like last weekend. Its to be very blowy on sat with a strong westerly how will this affect the fishing. Sun looks like it will be a bit better.

westerly should fish well enough
dont know if benone will produce as well as last weekend due to a different tide
portstewart has been well rested lately anyhow so should fish ok
seems to be plenty of fish all over east strand in westerlys last week
