People:me and dave

Duration:17.30-20.30

Tide:lw about half 9 i think

Weather:started off dry and a slight breeze, in the end we gave up because of the strong w breeze and heavy rain

Bait:salted lug (see shore forum) frozen mack and squid, whiting

Rigs:3/0 pulleys

Results:6 dogs and 2 pin whiting

Catch and Release:: Yes/No(all dogs released, 2 whiting used as bait)

Report:first time fishing this mark, only tried it because our intended mark was too exposed to fish in the weather that was forcast.tried salted lug which seemed to work quite well. got 2 whiting on the first 2 casts. put one of these on the heavy rod and got a couple of good knocks.put the reel in free spool as the fish took line.knocked it into gear and struck but every thing locked up solid.i'm guessing that it was a small conger. with this on our minds we changed over to mack and squid cocktails and suceeded to catch a dog a cast although we dropped a few on the way in and dave got a very good slack line bite which resulted in nothing. would like to fish this mark in better conditions and over the last 3 hours of the going and the first 2 hours of the coming.
