It wasn't that bad ,you know its rough when you cant fish from the low rocks . I was about to head down there yesterday afternoon but saw a few people on the low rocks so headed to whitepark bay instead, the girlfriend got a flounder ,i caught nothing
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

if you look at it during the day in low water and think way too rough to fish, waves breaking over low rocks, blow hole on high rock in full flow! and your feeling nervous watching the sea, FISH IT!! on the filling tide
I've fished for years with my dad and at times we really shouldn't have been fishing it it was that rough.
Don't really fish it much now, prefered it when my dad and i knew if we went it would only be us fishing it or couple mates

def fishes best when its really rough ,but be very very careful ,if you get washed in here theres no easy way out unless your lucky and get lifted onto the low rocks or through the blow hole . we'd normally fish in a group with a few ropes handy just in case .

Hi Ronald, it can never be too rough there
I've been there when some of the biggest cod have been taken off it, was grand until one of my dads mates decided to put his photo in the paper with a "little" fish just over 12lb or so..
Fished it for years never seen anyone washed off the top rocks, we've been on it when the water was almost welly boot deep with the swell coming over
If you know what the locals call the "Bow Wave", thats the spot to cast towards

unfortunately I've seen someone washed of the top rock ,resulting in a broken leg ,so i think a word of caution to people unacustomed to the area is ok .
I've also seen a few good fish taken of here ,its a good spot but not to be taken lightly !!!

Yeah i must say people not knowing the area is always risky, standing close to the edge is a no no.
I met you guys there one night with my dad, you were there with a local guy called Sean .. we didn't stay to fish just had quick chat & left.
Put in the time there and you'll break the 20lb barrier, its possible
