Shore Species list for 2006

Its always ineteresting to see the species list for the year of the members of the forum. Gives an idea of how to expand 2007 species list when bait and shore venue is put up.

i have caught alot of these species at different locations and on diffreent bait, but i have just put where the first one of the year was caught.

3 Beard rockling- Portally Cove

bass - benone, waterfoot and carnlough - lug and mac (just because it was 4 bass this year)
flounder - benone - rag (shimano mission accomplished)
dogfish (lesser) - talbot bay - sandeel (just under specimen weight)
plaice - limerick point (cushendal) - rag and crab (2lb 7oz)
wrasse - garron point - hard back crab (3lb 2oz)
dab - east strand portrush - lug (1lb 9oz)
coalie - the ledges - mac (3lb)
conger - ramore head and blackhead - mac and squid combo (10lb and 12lb)
cod - carrickfergus harbour - black lug (3lb)
pollock - garron point - deep spun sandeel (5lb)

this is a list of some of my best fish this year

Mackeral - Bangor + Numerous boat caught
Launce - Boat caught (The Rig)
Cod - Donaghadee Pier
Haddock - Boat Caught off Donaghadee
Whiting - Carnlough Beach
Dab - Cushendunn Beach

Not bad for my standards really and considering last year was really my first proper year of shore fishing.
