I use a 6000 size with my 11ft supercast bass for medium beach and esturay flattie fishing, works well. I have used a shimano bio master for years but now use a bait runner. Anything bigger on this size rod feels out of ballence.

The Penn cv6000 looks and feels a very nice reel for about £40.
