Penn afinity

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Found thison the web, hope it helps...
( Designed for the high-end angler fishing light-tackle, the Penn Affinity™ is quickly creating a stir amongst the technical-angling population. While the look and feel are inherently different from traditional Penn Spinning Reels, the Penn Affinity™ holds true to Penn's tradition of durability and performance. A full metal body combined with powerful worm-gearing, allows the Affinity™ to handle large fish on light lines and is ideal for fishing superbraid lines.)

Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.

From what I understand most of the rods are the same as the PPT range which is now defunct minus a couple of the options. I think the rings have been upgraded and the colour scheme has been toned down as the yellow colour scheme wasn't to everyones taste. Penn rebrand their ranges every few years. The rod deals are now all with the supermag extra.

Very tempted by the 4 piece 16' rod in BAC.

Going to have another look at it today.....
