Tide:HW 2330

Weather:Mild very light wind

Bait:mackerel, Sandeel, squid and Mussel

Rigs:3 hook flapper in close 2 hook clipdown and single pulley further out

Results:Whiting X lots, small codling X 2, pouting X 1 Coalfish X 1

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:Lots of small fish showed early with the occasional better fish here and there but about half way up the tide it slackened off and the size decreased. It never improved again up to the end. Best bait was a toss up between mackerel and sandeel. Biggest fish was the coalie at about 1 lb, biggest whiting 10-11 inches

Pat have you taken any flounder off killiney over christmas period??

No and to be honest I think my total number of flounder for the year can be counted on one hand, considering I fish mainly clean beaches on the E coast its disappointing. I dont think I have had anything bigger tha 8 ins.
