I think three long blasts on the whistle is a recognized signal for emergency's.
A whistle just in case you fall and break a leg beats shouting for help...Lazy[/quote]

All good points and here is one that I find great.
I get FREE buckets from a local deli. They are around 20l size. If you can get 5 and cut 4 of them down to just under 1/4 of their original height. The 4 you cut will stack inside the full one. This gives you 4 large trays for bait which you can take out when fishing. The full size one is then filled with water and suspended from my tri pod. this holds the pod in place on windy nights and gives me a place to revive fish and wash my hands. The lid from the full bucket is then a chopping board.
Free and takes about five Min's to do.

Instead of buying cooling strips for your cool box, fill a plastic 2 litre bottle up with water and freeze it down the night before (not quite to the top as ice will expand). There will still be half the ice in there 24 hours after you use it. Plus you can drink some of it, if you get thirsty.

Hi Folks,
With reference to tainted baits from all these weird and wonderful ways of keeping your hands clean, fish will pick up on the smells, especially when using rubbery lures.
I was also wondering how people stop their skin drying out whilst using Lug. I have tried gloves, but just oo awkward.
cheers,
macker.
