waterfoot pier mon 18/12/06

#1 Post by rab 525 »

People:me and my dad

Duration:18.30--22.45

Tide:high 22.00

Weather:calm /mild

Bait:rag, lug, tube worms, mussels, squid +mack
Rigs:pats and running ledger

Results:12 coalies, 6 codling, 3 dabs, 4 whiting, 1 pollack and 1 poor cod

Catch and Release::

Report:not a bad wee session first cast resulted in a double shot of coalies, whiting were of a good size about 28 cm.
had a quiet spell in the action around high water so i set up a conger rod but it was tortured by coalies which resulted in 3 coalies hooked on the same mackerel fillet one being the best of the night at 35 cm.
lots of crabs about stripping our baits :( was the only downside to the session ,oh and some eejit using my scissors as a hammer and wrecking them
rab
if it cant get its jaws round a 1/0 its not worth catching [ mullet excluded ]
