An absolute cracking reel m8 and if you are going to use it for bass fishing then it is spot on - I use one loaded with braid for bass fishing with no problems at all - good choice, just remember to keep it serviced and it will last you many years.

nice 1.i have a few 7000 and a 5000.was just a wee bit scepticle when i got it for 80 euros (53 pounds) new. seems a nice reel tho.dont think it'l take the abuse of the sloshs or 525 but i'l spare it for clean beach and estury fishing. its pretty much a steal at that price tho. and its got the power handle.roll on stephans day so i can get out and christen it

Yes m8 that is fine, due to me using braid on mine i run a thicker oil to keep the reel slower to save the braid underlying on its self but when using mono or flourocarbon i also use red rocket oil

Levelwind......curses! Hate the things. 90 quid is a super deal all the same. I think there is a guy on ebay selling the CT bars for around a fiver or so. Let us know how you get on with it, in particular how you get on with casting it without the brakes.
