Bunagee peir

#1 Post by MC »

who:-just me

venue:-bunagee Pier

tide:-high and dropping. 2330hrs to 0230hrs

rigs:-2 hook clipped up size 1 and 2 hook bomber size1/0

bait:-lazy lug

result:-1 coalie about 20cm

c+r:-yes

weather:-bad, wind force 5-7, rain

Got some lazy lug and decided to give it a test but with the Strong wind and fast tide it was hard to hold bottom and to see bites. any how that didn't stop me. on the first cast out I was baiting up the second rod and the tip started bouncing, never made it in time and missed the bite, a good start you would think, but no. The whole night was slow and at about 1am the tip went again, this time a small but welcome coalie came in. There was nothing after that and the rain started to come down heavy about 2am so I packed up and went home ( Santa is bring me a floatation suit, so might stay longer next time). Given the weather and the strong tides the lazy lug did ok, but it wasn't a conclusive test therefore when the weather is better I will just have to try again.
