Tramore beach, 9th December

#1 Post by James Barry »

People:Myself and 2 friends

Duration:4 hours

Tide:Fished 4 hours before high tide

Weather:light wind in our faces, stirred up the surf nicely!!

Bait:Lugworm

Rigs:1 hook clipped down

Results:Cod, Coalfish......Bass

Catch and Release:: Yes/No

Report:Conditions were perfect nice surf, for people who know the beach we walked as far as the rocks before the sand dunes. We decided to fish the tide up from 2 hours after low tide, coalfish were a bit of a nucense very good size though. I hooked the bass on the 4th cast a huge bite as my rod nearly flew out of the rod stand it turned out to be a fish under 4lbs :D :D . The cod were in such a feeding frenzy at one stage the 3 of us fishing were all in fish at the same time. I got the biggest cod of the night round 5 and a half pound :lol: . The hooks were so deep in most of the cod we had no choice but to keep some. Overall it was a great night 12 cod, 5 coalies and 1 bass...

Great report James. Having fished that area before I always though it was very hit and miss. Looks like you had it at one of the Hit times.

Well done,

Kev
