Baits that are working?

#1 Post by contender »

Post the baits that have been working or not for you this past month or so.

Rag, Found this to be excellent for the Coalies during the day, but not good in the dark.

Mack, Have had Dogs mostly but also Whiting, Coalies and Dabs have taken this in the dark.

Sandeel, The whiting seem to like this, as well as a few Dogs and Codling.

Squid, Not much luck at all with this recently, only seems of much use when tipping other baits off.

Remember. Please only post this last month or few weeks. I have used these baits all recently, but need to get some lug to try it and see how its doing. Cheers.

Where did ya get the crab from and was it shelled? Coz most of the crab you buy is usually prossesed C**p and is usless. Used it once and never again, but could be just that i had a bad experience with it! The stuff i used was crab my mate bought online!

Got it in a tackle shop in Dublin it was alive, just pealled the shells and legs and sent it out, had it in cocktails with lug, mussell and still got nothing on it, supose its just one of those things. I was very suprised because usually it kills.

In that case i'm very surprised myself. Thought that it might have been bought over the internet. But as you said it's just one of those things!
But at least you had other bait that was working with you :)

Squid was a great bait the other night. Also I switch to lug tipped with rag to give a real powerhouse of scent out once darkness falls. Worked great for me.
