Buy and Sell

#1 Post by Seancelt »

With so many people getting new gear for Christmas, I was wondering what the committee/people might think about setting up an area for offloading some of their older/less used stuff.
Does anybody think this is a good idea :?:

If you do a search Sean, the topic has been reviewed a few times before. The general concensus having looked into the legal issues etc is that it just aint a runner at the moment. Not to say that wont change but thats the Status Quo i'm afraid.

No problem lads. I just thought it might give beginners a chance to pick up some gear and others to get rid of something they didn't want.

I think a possible way round it but I stand to be corrected is if it works the other way....IE If you want an item, post a thread requesting it and asking members who may have one to sell to get into contact via PM. Any other Mods see any problem with that or is that just the same as a Buy and Sell in reverse as it were?

What if you had a buy and sell section were only the seller could post a link to ebay ,with a restriction on the amount of posts per year so as not to incourage someone setting up a business ,then any questions could be asked via ebay or pm so as not to clutter up posts with needless **** ,at least then people would have more of an idea who their dealing with ,but the legal issues would be at ebays doors not SAI .
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.
